This Time Baku Blames Canada: Azerbaijan's Statement
The spokesperson for Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aykhan Hajiyev, has condemned Canada following remarks made by Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly during a meeting with the Armenian community.
"This is not the first time that the Canadian Foreign Minister has made unilateral statements in support of separatism and revanchist forces in the region, expressing pro-Armenian sentiments," the statement reads.
The spokesman also accused Canada of applying a biased approach: "Once again, we demand that Canada refrain from such provocative actions and respect Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity," Hajiyev concluded.
