Drone Shot Down Near Moscow, Says Sobyanin
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced that a drone has been shot down in the capital. It has been reported that Russian air defense forces destroyed the unmanned aerial vehicle during a test flight in Moscow.
Debris from the drone fell in the area of the Expocenter located in the city center. Part of the wall of one of the center's pavilions has partially collapsed. Authorities temporarily closed the airspace around Vnukovo, which was later reopened. According to Sobyanin, the building of the Expocenter was not significantly damaged.
“Preliminary data shows that there are no casualties. Emergency services are working on-site,” he wrote on Telegram.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has accused Ukraine of attempting an attack on Moscow. Emergency services have reported that the outer wall of one of the pavilions at the Expocenter, located on a dam near the city of Moscow, has partially collapsed, with the collapsed area being approximately 30 square meters.
