Lukashenko Denies: Wagner Forces Have Not Captured the Suwalki Corridor
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has denied that Wagner forces have captured the Suwalki Corridor. This was reported by Telegram channels quoting Lukashenko's statements.
It is noted that the corridor would connect Belarus with the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation. “Listen, the Suwalki Corridor is not in Belarus. We are not moving through this corridor, nor any other corridor. We have not needed it for a thousand years,” Lukashenko said.
Lukashenko also referred to his statement regarding plans for Wagner PMC to go on an “excursion” to Rzeszów and Warsaw as a “joke.”
