Borel: 'This Will Lead to a Massive Global Food Crisis'

Russia will be held responsible for a large-scale global crisis resulting from disruptions in food supply chains. This was stated by the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell. He made the comments following the Kremlin's announcement to suspend its participation in the agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea, as reported by VOA.

“We already know that this will lead to a massive, huge food crisis in the world,” Borrell told reporters before heading to a meeting of EU foreign ministers.

Borrell also accused Russia of a deliberate attack on the warehouses in Odesa, which, according to him, will exacerbate the food crisis further.
