Protesters Demand End to Blockade of Artsakh, Deliver Letter to Russian Embassy
Protesters demanding an end to the blockade of Artsakh marched in front of the Russian Embassy. They recalled the recent incident in Artsakh where children aged 3 and 6 lost their lives in the Martakert region.
“The mother left the children alone in desperation; she went to bring sugar and oil on ration cards so that the children, who are under blockade, would have food. It’s the 21st century; what more needs to happen for us to understand that the path of life (the Lachin Corridor) must be opened?” said protest participant Adelina Avetisyan.
At the end of the event, the protesters handed a letter to the staff at the Russian Embassy, demanding that more attention be paid to the ongoing events in Artsakh. It should be noted that citizens had previously protested near the UN office in Yerevan.
