Zelensky Assesses Ukraine's Chances of Joining NATO
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that the North Atlantic Alliance is, most likely, not ready to invite the country to NATO. This was reported on the social media page of the state leader.
Additionally, the President of Ukraine noted that it is "unprecedented and absurd" that there is no timeline set not only for joining NATO but even for receiving an invitation.
Moreover, Zelensky highlighted the wording regarding the "conditions" for inviting Ukraine to the alliance.
"It seems that there is no willingness to invite Ukraine to NATO or to make it a member of the alliance," the politician declared. According to the President, such uncertainty is a sign of weakness.
