VIDEO: Lviv Hit by Missile Strikes; Casualties and Injuries Reported
In Lviv, the number of casualties from the Russian missile strikes has risen to four. This is reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"Rescue operations are ongoing. As of 7:00 AM, four people have died, and nine have been injured," the ministry stated.
It is noted that 64 people have been evacuated. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that not only rescuers are working on-site, but also psychologists, as well as police officers taking applications from the victims.
Lviv's Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reported that during the Russian missile strike, shrapnel hit a residential building.
“Emergency workers are rescuing people from the rubble,” Andriy Sadovyi wrote on his Telegram channel.
Regional Administration Head Maksym Kozytskyi also stated on his Telegram channel that a residential building has been damaged.
“There was a fire which was quickly extinguished. There are injuries… Rescuers are clearing the rubble,” said Kozytskyi.
He further informed that certain critical infrastructure has been damaged due to the missile attack in Lviv last night. The city has also experienced power outages and issues with mobile connectivity following the missile strike.
