Turkish Embassy in Paris Urges Citizens of Turkey to Exercise Caution

Protests began in France on June 27 after a young man of Arab descent was shot dead by police. Due to the protests, transportation and several other services have been suspended, and public buildings, private properties, and infrastructure have been damaged.

In response to the incident, the Turkish Embassy in Paris issued a statement urging Turkish citizens in France or those traveling there to exercise caution. The statement specifically noted: “Given the aforementioned events in France, especially in Paris, our citizens present in or traveling to France should maintain maximum vigilance and stay away from areas where protests are being held. It is advisable to follow the developments of the events regularly through the announcements of local authorities and our embassy and consulate general in Paris.”
