Researcher Rory Golden, who has managed to establish contact with the outside world, is aboard a surface vessel that is meant to be in communication with the lost submersible. The OceanGate Titan submersible sent SMS messages to communicate with the Polar Prince transport vessel. Connection was lost with the expedition team 1 hour and 45 minutes after the launch.

Among those aboard the submersible are British billionaire Hamish Harding, French expert diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and submarine owner Stockton Rush. The OceanGate submersible is designed for one pilot and four other people. According to managers, the oxygen supply should last until Thursday, June 22, around 7-8 AM.
