Germany Adopts National Security Strategy for the First Time
The German government has developed its first national security strategy. The concept, which was adopted based on an analysis of the security situation, aims to enhance the country's security in three main areas: defense capability, resilience, and flexibility.
In the document, it was specifically stated that there is an intention to increase the average annual level of defense spending to 2% of GDP.
The strategy also pertains to the expansion of Germany's cyber and space capabilities, strengthening the fight against espionage and subversion, and reinforcing the European technological base for security and defense.
