Why Azerbaijan's State Terrorism Against Artsakh Has Not Resulted in Any Sanctions
Azerbaijan's state terrorism against Artsakh has not led to any sanctions from the European Commission, despite the rulings of the International Court of Justice. This was stated by MEP François-Xavier Bellamy during the European Parliament plenary session in Strasbourg on the topic of "Armenia-Azerbaijan Relations and the Situation in Artsakh and the Lachin Corridor," as reported by News.am.
“The Lachin Corridor has been closed for already six months, and the Armenian population of Artsakh is effectively under blockade. We have clearly condemned this intolerable situation in this Parliament, but the European Commission remains silent, while the European Council is sponsoring negotiations between the perpetrator and the victim,” the MEP said.
He expressed expectations for decisive actions to ensure that Azerbaijan stops its illegal actions.
