Collision Involving Mercedes Sprinter and Hyundai Elantra in Proshyan Village Leaves 5 Injured

On June 6, a major traffic accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 09:50, a collision took place between a Mercedes Sprinter and a Hyundai Elantra on the Yerevan-Ashtarak highway within the administrative area of Proshyan village. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.

As a result of the accident, five individuals sustained injuries of varying degrees and were transported to the Armenia medical center.

Civilians and Dr. Gevorg Nikolian from the Talin medical center, who happened to be passing by at the time, were the first to provide assistance to the injured before the arrival of ambulance personnel.

Due to the collision, the vehicles veered off the roadway, with the Hyundai crashing into rocks and the Mercedes Sprinter into trees and rocks.

An investigation has been initiated by the Nairi Investigative Department regarding the accident. The Patrol Service and the investigative department are working to identify the drivers and the injured parties.
