Signing of the Peace Agreement is Inevitable: Bayramov
Signing of the peace agreement is inevitable, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in a conversation with journalists. According to him, one of the main directions in the post-conflict period is the process of the peace agreement. He stated, 'Although this process was intensive, there was a break of about 6 months due to the Armenian side boycotting the negotiations.'
Bayramov noted that a new and upcoming meeting is scheduled in Washington. 'You know that the initiation of peace agreement negotiations is the initiative of the Azerbaijani side, the fundamental principles have been declared by Azerbaijan, and the first draft of the peace agreement was presented by Azerbaijan. We consider achieving peace unavoidable, in accordance with international law and principles. A peace agreement and an interstate relations regulation agreement must be prepared and signed. It is impossible to predict how long this process will take,' he said.
