Video: Either Leave CSTO and Explain Why, or Stay - Rustamyan

We simply do not have any structured process, whether in the realm of our foreign diplomacy or in resolving security issues. This was stated today, on May 16, during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly by Armen Rustamyan, a member of the ‘Armenia’ parliamentary faction.

“These contradictory statements indicate that there is no direction, no concept that would help us ensure our security and protect our interests in foreign relations,” he said.

Referring to Armenia's desire to leave the CSTO after the events of September 2022 but subsequently reversing that decision, Rustamyan noted, “First of all, you cannot announce something if it has not been done. This is elementary logic. What is the point of taking it out of the kitchen if you have not left the CSTO? Either leave and explain why you are leaving, or stay in the CSTO and use all available minimum opportunities for the CSTO to address our security issues.”
