Over 600,000 Law Enforcement Officers Ensure Election Security in Turkey

Today, during the presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey, the security is being provided by more than 600,000 law enforcement personnel, as reported by the country’s Minister of Interior Suleyman Soylu after casting his vote at one of the polling stations.

According to Soylu, there are 79 helicopters and 8 airplanes at the ministry's disposal. However, he did not clarify what purposes these aircraft might serve.
