Mother of Fallen Soldier Gayane Hakobyan Detained
The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, presided over by Judge Zhora Chichoyan, has decided to detain Gayane Hakobyan, the mother of fallen soldier Zhora Martirosyan, who died in the 44-day war. This was reported by her attorney.
Gayane Hakobyan was arrested in connection with the kidnapping case involving Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's son, Ashot Pashinyan. She has been charged.
The defense sought to apply alternative measures to detention, including house arrest (with the condition of allowing regular visits to Yerablur), administrative supervision (prohibiting contact with Ashot and other involved individuals if necessary), bail (with a proposed amount of 10 million dram), and a guarantee (with ten deputies from two parliamentary factions, along with Hrant Tohatyan, expressing willingness to stand as guarantors).
It is noteworthy that Gayane Hakobyan has declared a hunger strike.
