Moldovan Opposition Party Vice President Detained at Chișinău Airport
Moldovan "Șor" opposition party vice president Marina Tauber has been detained at Chișinău airport while attempting to leave the country, the Moldovan Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office announced on Monday.
In early February, Tauber’s right to move freely was restored, along with her right to communicate with any person, and the court decided to return her foreign passport.
"This morning, Marina Tauber was detained at Chișinău International Airport while on her way from Istanbul (Turkey) to Tel Aviv (Israel). The detention was carried out based on a decision made by the prosecutor of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office today, which stated that Tauber violated the conditions imposed by the preventive measures against her," the statement published on the prosecutor's website noted.
