No One Has the Right to Intervene in Beijing and Moscow's Relations: China's MFA

Third parties have no right to intervene in the bilateral relations between China and Russia, stated China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin during a press conference on Friday.

“China and Russia have always adhered to the principles of non-alignment, avoiding confrontation, and not targeting third parties, and they have developed a new type of relationship among major countries based on mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and mutually beneficial cooperation,” said the diplomat.

Wang Wenbin emphasized that the relations between Beijing and Moscow are fundamentally different from the “small circles” and “alliance confrontation” that the United States engages in. “No state has the right to intervene in the relations between Russia and China,” he stated.

The diplomat pointed out that China has always maintained an objective and fair stance on the Ukrainian crisis, actively promoting peaceful negotiations and playing a constructive role in the political resolution of the crisis.

Earlier, U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen had warned China that if it supports Russia in the Ukrainian conflict, the consequences would be severe. Washington will continue to convey its position clearly to Beijing and its companies under its jurisdiction, and any violations will carry serious repercussions,” Yellen stated.
