Jalal Harutyunyan Has Agreed to Attend the Inquiry Committee Meeting, Says Kocharyan
The chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Defense and Security, Andranik Kocharyan, informed journalists that former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army Jalal Harutyunyan has agreed to participate in the inquiry committee meeting examining the circumstances of the 44-day war.
“I have had a conversation with Jalal Harutyunyan, and after this plenary session, we will organize a meeting between the committee and the former commander of the Defense Army. He has agreed to be present at the inquiry committee meeting and respond to questions,” said Kocharyan.
He noted that the committee has prioritized the sequence of invited officials, indicating that the country's top official must also answer their questions. “Very few people have not agreed to attend the committee meeting, for instance, Tiran Khachatryan and Vardan Oskanyan, who talks about the negotiation processes on various platforms, but the main platform where he should come and speak is the inquiry committee. As Zohrap Mnatsakanyan said, not taking advantage of this platform would be foolishness,” Kocharyan emphasized.
