Are There Problems in the Azerbaijani Army? Aliyev Dismisses the Head of the Draft Service

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today dismissed Arzu Rahimov, the head of the State Service for Draft and Military Service, from his position. Rahimov had held this role since February 2012.

In his place, Mursal Ibrahimov has been appointed.

According to reports from the Turan agency, there is almost no information available in open sources about the newly appointed official. "It is only known that in 2015, the name of a person with the same details was included in the list of employees of the State Security Service who received state awards," Turan reports.
