Ukraine’s Armed Forces Will Launch an Offensive, Blinken Says
In the coming weeks, an offensive by the Ukrainian armed forces is expected. This was announced by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
He added that Western countries intend to do “everything possible” to help Ukraine “regain territories.” Reuters had previously reported that Kyiv is allegedly preparing a 40,000-strong assault brigade for the counter-offensive, which could begin in the coming weeks or months.
The subject was also addressed by Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov, who stated that the country’s defense forces are preparing for the counter-offensive, but the appropriate timing will be determined by the general staff. According to him, there are no precise deadlines for the start of the counter-offensive, as various factors influence it, particularly weather conditions and the dynamics of military supplies.
