Çavuşoğlu and Lavrov to Meet: Discussion on Armenian-Turkish Relations Normalization
Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has invited Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to visit Turkey on April 6-7 to participate in extensive negotiations on bilateral and international agenda issues. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry's website.
During the visit, a wide range of current regional and international issues will be discussed.
"It is also planned to discuss the restoration of relations between Armenia and Turkey, the unblocking of transport communications, and the post-conflict rehabilitation of the region," the statement said.
It is noted that the foreign ministers will also discuss the normalization of Turkish-Syrian relations. There will be a reference to supporting Ankara and Damascus in a quadrilateral format with Iran's participation as a guarantor country in the 'Astana process.'
