Video: Pashinyan Has Expressed a Desire to Attend the Investigative Commission, Kocharyan
The former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, has answered all questions in the commission investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war, and there will be no need to summon him for questioning a second time. This was stated today, April 4, in a conversation with journalists by Andranik Kocharyan, the chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Defense and Security.
“Mr. Mnatsakanyan provided a detailed account of the negotiations and processes that occurred during his tenure, and how the atmosphere of trust with the opposing side should have been established. The questions that were raised received answers, and after hearing the state leadership, the leadership of Artsakh, and the Prime Minister, these will be summarized, leading to conclusions about why things happened this way,” Kocharyan noted.
Kocharyan added that there was discussion in the commission about the possibility of ending the war earlier, but he did not elaborate: “Once we write the conclusion, it will be clear what opportunity existed, whether it depended solely on Armenia, or on Armenia and Azerbaijan, or on global circumstances.”
Kocharyan confirmed in response to a journalist's question that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will also be invited for questioning: “Nikol Pashinyan himself has expressed a desire to definitely come to the investigative commission.”
