VIDEO: "Who decided that you are more patriotic than I am?" says Deputy Minister of Defense
“Follow the official news… Will you give way?” Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan said during a press conference with journalists in the National Assembly on April 3, addressing questions about the strengthening of Azerbaijani positions near the village of Tegh.
“Who decided that you are more patriotic than I am?” the official remarked. More details can be found in the video.
It should be noted that, according to the National Security Service (NSS), there have been misinterpretations of maps during the deployment of Azerbaijani armed forces near Tegh village. In some areas, the Azerbaijani side has started fortifying positions and carrying out engineering works without waiting for previously agreed clarifications.
According to Armenian estimates, there are five such points where the Azerbaijani side is positioned 100 to 300 meters ahead of the border. An agreement has now been reached for map specialists from both sides to clarify the situation. The Armenian side is approaching the issue with a rationale of preventing escalation.
Later, the NSS reported that a meeting was held in the Tegh-Kornidzor section with the participation of representatives from Armenia and Artsakh, during which border clarification work was carried out, resulting in a significant improvement in the situation in that area.
