VIDEO: Trump to Stand in Court Tomorrow as US Authorities Prepare for Potential Violence
White House National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby announced during a briefing that US authorities are closely monitoring the situation surrounding former President Donald Trump's indictment and are prepared for potential outbreaks of violence related to the ongoing events. This was reported by TASS.
“We are watching the situation as closely as we can. ... We will be prepared if the need arises, but I hope it does not happen. … Violence has no place in the United States,” Kirby stated.
Earlier reports indicated that a group of Secret Service agents had inspected the courthouse in New York where former President Donald Trump's trial will take place, and have established a secure route for him and the media.
The political figure intends to fly to New York on April 3 and will spend the night before facing unspecified criminal charges at the Manhattan courthouse.
In a released video, Donald Trump is seen leaving his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida and heading to New York, where he could face over 30 counts.
