The Conflict Has No Military Solution, Says US State Department Spokesperson

The US State Department spokesperson Vedant Patel stated that Assistant Secretary of State Karen Donfried had a phone conversation with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Bayramov, expressing concern over Azerbaijan's military movements.

"She emphasized the US commitment to peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Direct dialogue is the solution to this issue and the path to achieving lasting peace. The conflict has no military solution. We will continue to support discussions between Armenia and Azerbaijan both bilaterally and through our partners and international organizations,” he said.
