French Ambassador Summoned by Turkish Foreign Ministry: Reasons Revealed
The French Ambassador to Turkey, Herve Magro, has been summoned to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs over the awarding of members of Kurdish organizations in the French Senate, whom Ankara regards as terrorists. This was reported by TASS, citing a source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
“The ambassador was informed that Turkey does not accept and strongly condemns the awards given to members of the Syrian Kurdish forces, known as the YPG (People's Protection Units), in the French Senate. The YPG is the Syrian branch of the terrorist organization PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party). The ambassador was made aware of the secessionist and destabilizing activities of these elements against our country and the Syrian people,” the agency's source stated.
