Margaray Border Previously Opened for a Government Official, Says Mirzoyan
In the National Assembly, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that the Margaray border had previously been opened incidentally.
"I won’t name names, but it was opened not for public benefit, but for a government official, for example, for their private company, with the import of heavy machinery, because transporting that equipment to Georgia would have been more expensive. There was a call, an intervention with the Turkish authorities, and they generously allowed a high-ranking representative of the former government to transfer their heavy machinery through the Armenian-Turkish border," said Mirzoyan.
