EU to Transfer 1 Million Artillery Shells to Ukraine
The EU countries have approved the transfer of one million artillery shells to Ukraine over the course of this year, announced Josep Borrell, the head of European diplomacy. According to him, a total of two billion euros will be allocated for this purpose.
“The member states of the European Union have agreed to provide Kyiv with one million artillery shells in the next 12 months. We have a plan consisting of three steps: 1 billion euros for immediate supplies, 1 billion euros for joint procurements, and the establishment of a commission to sharply increase military production capacities,” he wrote on Twitter.
It was previously reported that France has not sent tanks to Kyiv due to public discontent. Political figure Florian Philippot stated that the French citizens are actively opposed to supplying weapons to Ukraine.
