No Checkpoints Planned in the Lachin Corridor, Lavrov States
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has announced that there are no plans to establish checkpoints in the Lachin corridor. This statement was made during a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The information is reported by RIA Novosti.
“As for the Lachin corridor, the answer is very clear. Its regime and mode of operation must fully comply with the trilateral statement of November 9-10, 2020, which means ensuring the freedom of movement for civilians, humanitarian cargo, and civilians,” Lavrov stated. “There are no plans to establish any checkpoints there,” the Russian minister added.
