Nine Ambassadors Summoned to Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Nine ambassadors from various countries have been summoned to Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including representatives from countries whose consulates have halted visitor services in Istanbul. This news was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the state broadcaster TRT Haber.

The agency noted that previously, the consulates of France, Sweden, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Germany in Istanbul announced that they had ceased accepting visitors due to the threat of terrorist attacks in the city center.

Turkey's Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu referred to this move by several European countries as a "psychological war" against Turkey, citing the closure of their consulates in Istanbul.

Earlier, the U.S. Embassy had warned its citizens on Monday about the risk of terrorism in central Istanbul. According to the warning, potential targets could include churches, synagogues, diplomatic missions in Istanbul, or other locations popular among foreigners.
