Snow, Fog, Black Ice: Situation on the Roads

In Gyumri and Kajaran, as well as on the Saravan-'Zanger' section, snow is currently falling. The Rescue Service reports that there are closed roads within the RA territory.

The roads from the 'Amberd' high-altitude meteorological station in Aragatsotn province to the Amberd Fortress and the K'ari Lake road are closed. There are patches of black ice on the roads in the Gavar and Akhuryan regions.

In Gyumri and Kajaran, there is snow in the Saravan-'Zanger' section. In the Ararat province, in the Aparan region, and in the area known as 'Meghri Mountain' and along the Goris-Sisian road, there is fog.

Regarding Lars, according to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation's Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. It is recommended that drivers travel exclusively on winter tires.
