Swedish MP Calls on Global Community to Pressure Azerbaijan

Swedish MP Björn Söder has made a statement on his Twitter account concerning the blockade of the Lachin corridor, urging the global community to respond to the humanitarian crisis created in Artsakh.

"Azerbaijan must end the blockade of the Lachin corridor, which is the only land connection to the outside world for the 120,000 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh. Otherwise, it will result in a massive humanitarian disaster. The international community must respond and put pressure on Azerbaijan," said the official.

It is worth reminding that Azerbaijani "environmentalists" have blocked the Lachin corridor since December 12. The closure of the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia has led to a humanitarian crisis in the Republic of Artsakh. According to the command of the peacekeeping forces, the Russian side is negotiating with Azerbaijani representatives to restore the uninterrupted movement of civilian transport.
