French-Supplied 18 CAESARs to Ukraine in Need of Repair, Le Figaro Reports
The 18 French CAESAR self-propelled howitzers provided to Ukraine as military aid require repairs, according to the French publication Le Figaro.
The necessary repairs to the military equipment are attributed to the high intensity of fire that quickly wears down the barrels of the self-propelled guns. One of the CAESARs is reported to be completely out of order and will not be operable for the time being.
The article notes that the Ukrainian army is facing such issues due to a lack of necessary spare parts, preventing them from resolving this problem. For now, the self-propelled howitzers will be sent for repairs to Poland.
Previously, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that France has supplied Crotale missile systems and air defense systems to Kyiv and plans to deliver a new batch of weapons early next year.
