Russian Peacekeepers Arrive Near Tegh Village to Meet Armenian Activists
As previously reported, this morning a group of activists initiated a car rally from Republic Square towards the Lachin corridor. The participants of the car rally have already reached the checkpoint.
“2-3 people, accompanied by us, mainly those who are capable of negotiating with the Russians, will go to the Russian side, and possibly some journalists as well. If the Russians allow, we have no problem,” informed a representative of the Armenian police to the participants of the rally organized with the goal of heading to Stepanakert.
At the checkpoint, Armenian police presented the conditions that must be strictly observed by the activists and journalists. The participants of the rally concluded that they would go as a group; some will wait 100 meters away while a few will conduct negotiations with the Russian peacekeepers, with all proceedings being documented by the journalists present on site.
It has also been mentioned that a few Russian peacekeepers have set off from Stepanakert and will arrive near Tegh village in about an hour and a half to meet with those present.
