«Azerbaijanis Have Not Closed the Lachin Corridor»: Bayramov to Borrell

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, had a phone conversation. The parties discussed the situation surrounding the Lachin corridor and regional developments.

Borrell expressed concern over the existing tension in the region and emphasized the importance of continuing the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to Azerbaijani media, Bayramov insisted that Azerbaijanis have not closed the Lachin corridor.

The parties also referred to the activities of the EU monitoring mission in Armenia.
