Is 10-Year-Old Aram's Letter Fake? MP's Response to Statement from Jermuk
"The letter from 10-year-old Aram from Jermuk, which shocked us all, is fake, as we could not find any information about such a family or victim. I hope the MP and those circulating the letter will disclose the source," wrote Facebook user and Jermuk activist Narek Mirzoyan.
As reported yesterday, MP Kristine Vardanyan from the 'Armenia' faction published Aram’s letter to Santa Claus on her Facebook page. In the letter, Aram wrote: "I don’t want a Christmas tree; I want my father, who was killed."
Auroranews.am reached out to MP Kristine Vardanyan to understand the origin of the letter from 10-year-old Aram and whether she knows the family and can provide any details. "I took the letter from posts by Facebook users. I have no information about Aram or his family. At the same time, I should note that the letter does not state that the boy is from Jermuk; it only mentions that his father was killed in Jermuk on September 14," said the MP.
Below is 10-year-old Aram's letter:
"Hello, dear Santa. I am not asking for gifts for myself; instead, I have a more important and precious request. My father was killed on September 14 in Jermuk. But we haven’t buried my father yet. I overheard my mother and grandmother talking and know that the enemy does not allow us to take my father; he is still with the enemy. I am pleading with you, if you can, please take my father and let us take him to the pantheon so that I can bring him flowers. I don’t need a Christmas tree; I don’t want one, I only have this one request: Aram, 10 years old."
