Pashinyan Emphasizes Immediate Withdrawal of Azerbaijani Forces from Armenian Territory in Conversation with Macron

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with French President Emmanuel Macron during the 18th Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie held in Jerba, Tunisia.

The two leaders highly appreciated Armenia's presidency in the International Organization of La Francophonie and addressed discussions taking place within the framework of the summit in Tunisia. They discussed issues related to the organization's priorities and future plans.

Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Macron exchanged views on the results of the quadrilateral meeting held in Prague in October 2023, which included the leaders of Armenia, France, Azerbaijan, and the President of the European Council. The implementation of steps aimed at strengthening stability and security in the South Caucasus was emphasized.

Pashinyan stressed the necessity of eliminating the consequences of Azerbaijani aggression and the immediate withdrawal of Azerbaijani units from the sovereign territory of Armenia.

The leaders also discussed further development of Armenian-French bilateral cooperation.
