What I saw yesterday, I have never seen before: Zakharova

Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, recounted an incident in Cambodia where Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was visiting. According to her, as Lavrov exited the building where the events took place, a woman ran towards him.

“What I saw yesterday, I have never seen before,” Zakharova said. She noted that the woman, who claimed to be a journalist, activated her phone to record but did not ask any questions.

“She also tried to touch the Russian minister with this phone,” added Zakharova.

She characterized this as a “clear provocation.”
