NSS Responds to Rumors of Extraditing Kurdish Men to Turkey

Considering the baseless and unfounded criticisms directed at the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia regarding the extradition of Kurdish individuals Atilla Cicek and Huseyin Yildirim to Turkey, made by certain individuals involved in socio-political activities through social networks and various media outlets, we inform you that the circulating false news not only does not correspond to reality but also has no legal basis. These rumors attempt to target the Service.

It is reported that the process of extraditing individuals convicted within the scope of criminal proceedings is beyond the powers of the Service. The National Security Service urges refraining from the unacceptable practice of disseminating disinformation that tarnishes the reputation of state institutions and undermines the country’s external security. Furthermore, it warns that within its jurisdiction, the Service will pursue verifying the true motives and hidden agendas of those spreading false information through its verification actions.
