Newborn Dies at 'Muratsan' Hospital; Father Reports Body Transferred in Cardboard Box
Recently, media outlets reported that a 44-year-old resident of one of the villages in the Ararat region, Romik D., called the police to inform them that his newborn child had died at the Muratsan Children’s Hospital.
According to the information, when the police inspector from the Erebuni division's juvenile affairs department arrived on the scene, Romik D. stated that his newborn child had been transferred from Vedi Medical Center to Muratsan Hospital due to being born prematurely on September 8. The Vedi Medical Center indicated that the baby needed to be kept in a "tank" and therefore required transport to Muratsan Hospital. The child died in the hospital on September 21, and the body was transferred to the morgue in a cardboard box.
Auroranews received information from the police that the materials related to the incident have been forwarded to the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
