"There is a limit when silence becomes impossible": council member resigns
Karen Baghdasaryan, a member of the Yerevan Council from the "My Step" faction, has resigned from his council mandate. Regarding this, he posted on his Facebook page: "Indeed, there is a limit when silence becomes impossible; otherwise, for the sake of some ambiguous 'for', you begin to crush your principles and values, which doesn't lead to anything good - at the very least, it takes you towards becoming a 'mishmash' in front of yourself.
Unfortunately, carrying out activities in this context becomes ambiguous and highly questionable when openly and proudly natural and historical monuments are subjected to genocide. Therefore, no monument is immune to being tortured. I won’t repeat detailing; however, I need to recover from this long silence and act far from double standards," he wrote.
