We Give Five Minutes for Their Arrival, Let Them Not Be Offended by Us: Tensions Rise Near the Ministry of Defense
The situation remains tense in front of the Ministry of Defense. Parents of soldiers who died in the 44-day war have entered the ministry's reception area and are demanding a meeting with the commander of their battalion, Pavlik Kyaramyan, whom they blame for the deaths of their sons.
“If Kyaramyan is such a strong guy, let him bring back the lands. I don’t understand why you’re afraid to call him. Invite him, let them come down from above. We give them five minutes to come, or let them not be offended by us,” said the father of a fallen soldier.
It is reported that the parents' sons are from the 4th battalion of the 5th defensive district of Martakert. The parents are also demanding a meeting with the Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan or Deputy Minister Arman Sargsyan. For a long time, the parents have been trying to ascertain the circumstances of their sons' deaths.
Parents have been outraged by the fact that the commander of the same battalion, Pavlik Kyaramyan, was awarded the 1st degree “Combat Cross” despite not participating in combat operations. It is noted that the man did not comply with the demands of law enforcement officers.
