VIDEO. Explosion and Smoke at Berdyansk Port

An explosion and smoke have been observed near the Berdyansk port in the Zaporizhzhia region. According to Vladimir Rogov, a member of the regional military-civilian administration, the explosion occurred during the demining operations in the port area.

“Unexploded ordnance, which could not be moved, was detonated during the demining process. Soon, the Berdyansk port will begin operations as planned,” he wrote on Telegram.

Deputy Chief of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Zaporizhzhia region, Alexey Selivanov, elaborated that removing munitions from the port area is dangerous for citizens, so they need to be detonated on-site. He assured residents that there is nothing to worry about.
