Russian Channel ‘Dozhd’ Recognized as Foreign Agent to Broadcast in Latvia
The Russian television channel 'Dozhd', recognized as a foreign agent in Russia, will broadcast in Latvia.
The Latvian National Electronic Media Council has announced that the channel has been granted a broadcasting license in the Baltic nation, TASS reports.
"Negotiations on this matter have lasted nearly three months, and they concluded with the issuance of the license," said the head of the authority, Ivars Abolins.
'Dozhd’s' broadcasts in Latvia will begin on June 9.
