EU Residents May Face Hunger Risk, According to Farda
The Iranian publication Farda reports that residents of the European Union may face a risk of hunger. The article cites former Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk's prediction that bread prices in his country could quadruple in the near future. This is attributed to disruptions in planting areas in Ukraine.
Another concerning trend is the rise in fuel prices. If the EU does not make concessions to Russia and does not purchase gas in rubles, prices will increase further. This will affect the cost of energy and automotive fuel. Ultimately, many other goods, including food products, are expected to become more expensive.
Given these issues and their significance for Europe, Iranian journalists believe it is highly likely that European politicians and governments will soon be forced to compromise on principles.
