Tsarukyan on the Statue of Christ

This is a historically powerful work, a national endeavor that must be our best. The important thing is that we have brilliant people; this will be historic and will have a history for centuries to come.

This was stated by Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, during a conversation with journalists regarding the construction of the statue of Jesus Christ.

"Our desire is for the most beautiful and strongest to be chosen. Since we are the first Christian nation that has officially embraced Christianity, this must also be first among us. By uniting as a nation, we will do our best. We are listening to everyone; we will not back down from anything—this is a task given by God, and we will carry it out," said the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party.
