My wife's father has no connection to the cemetery issue, Hayk Sargsyan
This publication is so false and misleading that I didn’t even find it necessary to respond. This was stated by Hayk Sargsyan, a member of the National Assembly's Civil Contract faction, in an interview with Shabat.am, reacting to the report that his father-in-law allegedly obstructed Arthur Grigoryan's burial in a plot adjacent to Rima Demirchyan.
"My wife's father has no connection whatsoever with the cemetery issue, he has never had any and even if he wanted to, he couldn't have obstructed it. He found out from the internet just like I did that 'he is causing an obstruction,'" said the deputy.
Sargsyan emphasized that he had a conversation regarding the matter with Vahe Khachatryan, the director of the Burial Bureau. "I raised the question of why my name is being associated with this, what actually happened? To which Khachatryan responded, 'It is a surprise to me why such a publication was made and attempted to link you, I know neither you nor your father-in-law,'" Sargsyan added.
It is noteworthy that earlier news reports suggested that Hayk Sargsyan's father-in-law had obstructed composer and People's Artist of Armenia Arthur Grigoryan's burial in a free plot adjacent to Rima Demirchyan.
