Russia is Waging a 'War of Nerves': Josep Borrell on New Sanctions Against the RF

The European Union is working on new restrictions against Moscow. This was announced by the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, as reported by Говорит Москва.

“In the framework of efforts to deter Russia, we have made progress in preparing countermeasures that will impose serious costs on the Russian economy and financial system,” he noted.

At the same time, Borrell stated that the European Union regrets Russia's decision to expand the list of EU representatives banned from entering the RF.

“This decision lacks legal justification and transparency and will have an appropriate response. With this decision, Russia continues to escalate tensions in Europe rather than promoting de-escalation,” he emphasized.

Borrell stated that “Russia is waging a war of nerves.”
