Ruben Vardanyan Acquires ArmNews Television: Hraparak
Following the snap parliamentary elections, ArmNews television, which had entered a passive mode, has a new shareholder, reports the Hraparak newspaper. According to the publication, the broadcaster will resume operations in February, and viewers will once again see familiar faces on air.
"There has been a change of ownership at ArmNews; businessman Ruben Vardanyan has become a shareholder. He also has political ambitions in Armenia and sponsors the 'Living Country' party," the newspaper writes.
It is noteworthy that ArmNews television is owned by 'Karyak Media', but the media outlet is often associated in the press with former Ambassador to the Holy See Mikhail Minasian, who is the son-in-law of Armenia's third President Serge Sarkisian.
